For last few years a lot of Gujarati people wanted to come together as a community here in New Zealand. Few senior citizens decided to establish a charitable organisation and volunteered to provide their time and expertise. Gujarati Samaj New Zealand is a registered incorporated society established on 19th May 2012 and it’s maintained by executive committee elected by the members of the society exclusively for charitable purposes Official Registration number: 2569060.

The main purpose of Gujarati Samaj New Zealand is to promote Gujarati culture and language in the community so that more Gujaraties become members of this organisation. We could provide a platform where everyone from Gujarati community and wider communities get an opportunity to take part in the cultural programmes to show their talent, share ideas and have their say. This will help to keep Gujarati culture, language, traditions and values alive in today’s generation and will be passed on to the next generation of Gujaraties.
