Minutes of the Youth & Children wing monthly General meeting was held
at The Newlynn Friendship Club, New Lynn on 12th March 23 @ 4 PM
Meeting started at 4pm with safety rules and house keeping . Co-convenor Mrs Dharti Shukla sang Sanskrit Stuti/prayer to commence the event.
Gujarati Samaj Yuva Wing’s co-convenor Mr Chirag Tailor welcomed all our attendees and thanked them for their presence. Both the Co-convenors wished all attendees happy holi and celebrated the festival by sharing colours and flowers to the crowd.
Mr Chirag Tailor invited our performers on stage. There were two dance performances on Bollywood songs which include one solo performance and one group performance. Both the performances were beautiful which left our attendees mesmerized.
Mrs Dharti Shukla invited our guest speaker Mrs Rachna Dave who provided mortgage and finance information. Open Q&A session was held to provide our attendees with an opportunity to discuss any queries they have for our speaker. In repones to the queries, Mrs Rachna provided interesting insights about first home buyers, investment property, interest rates etc.
Mrs Dharti Shukla welcomed Gujarati Samaj’s President Mr Kiritbhai Thakar and Yuva Wing Convenor Mr Dharmendrabhai Mehta on stage to announce organization’s recent activities and upcoming events. Mr Dharmendrabhai Mehta discussed organization’s recent activities which include fundraising, summer camp, picnic, contribution to people involved in Piha Tragedy. Mr Kiritbhai Thakar announced upcoming mega-event details as Gujarati Samaj completes 10 years.
Gujarati Samaj Yuva Wing’s committee member Mr Tejas Patel organised three games for kids to encourage interaction and participation. All participants enjoyed the games.
7. Mr Chirag tailor thanked Mrs Suhas Patel and Mr Mitesh Patel for sponsoring traditional thandai for all attendees. We then invited all attendees to have snacks and socialise.
