Minutes of General Meeting held on 1^st April2023 at Newlynn Friendship club, 3063, Great North Road, Newlynn, Auckalnd

First half

Meeting was started at 10.15am after serving juice and biscuits to the member present at that time.Shri Kishor Mehta started meeting with his welcome speech and safety rules for the members.Ladies group has made prayer. two minutes silence was observed for late Shri Ishwarlal Vallabh husband of our member Smt. Kamuben Vallabh.

 Smt. Nandini Joshi sang a gujarati song. Smt. Neelaben Kadakia sang gujarati song.Smt. Vidyaben Patel sang a Bhajan on ekadasi. Shri Purshottam Merai sang beautiful Bollywood song.  Smt. Ilaben Desai perform on a Bollywood song. Shri Kishorbhai Desai perform , describe and sang on Late Zaverchand Meghani in detail and sang his well known Kavita and song. Shri Dhansukhbhai sang a beautiful Bollywood song in the voice of Late shri Mukesh.

SECOND HALF

Shri Bharat Parikh, secretary, ask members about their opinion on last picnic of 18/3/2023 at Omana beach, south east auckalnd. Members responded that it was well organised and all members enjoyed a lot.

 Shri Bharatbhai also state that there will be no more picnic in winter i.e. from April 2023 onwards till next summer, however he also told that samaj may organise one indoor picnic in winter.

Shri Bharatbhai also told about forthcoming proposed constitutional amendments details of which will be provided by Presient Shri Kirit Thaker during his speech.

Shri Bharatbhai gave details of 2 outgoing members of Executive committee and informed members that there are 3 names committee have , whether we can take them without going for election. He also ask  members if any one wants to join Ex.Committee of the samaj.  Shri Natubhai Patel raised his hand and also told Mr. Narhari Patel also wants to nominate. Shri Bharatbhai ask members to give permission to EC to select 2 or 3 members from this nomination but Shri Kishorbhai Desai and few others raise objection and advise to go for election. To finalise this matter it was postpone to next AGM which will be held on 3^rd June 2023.

Members birthday was celebrated for the month of April. Shri Jasubhai Patel sang Birthday song.  Shri Kirit Thaker, in his presidential speech, gave information on upcoming event of Mega Eventof 14/5/2023.

1. Minakshi Sori and Jay from ASG, did the presentation on waste disposal and explained how importance is of recycle rubbish. Shri Mahendrabhai Patel, treasurer inform members about no, of members who contributed meal money for twelve or six months and ask remaining members to opt for 6 or 12 months meal money option. Shri Kiritbhai Thaker thanked all present members for handsome response while paying either yearly or half yearly meal money.
2. Shri Dharmendrabhai Mehta inform members about youth wing updates and total membership.
3. Shri Prabhubhai Desai chant Bhojan Mantra and then all members enjoyed lunch. Ekadasi lunch was also seperatly arranged for those who had fasting. All Most of the all members left around 1.30 pm

Cleaner has clean the utensils and hall and committee members left the hall at 2.45 pm after locking the hall.
