Minutes of General meeting held on 3 December 2022 at New Llynn friend ship club hall, 3063 New North Road, New Lynn, Auckland.
The meeting started at 10.15 a.m. after serving tea and coffee. Bharatbhai K Parikh explained the safety rules to all members attending the meeting. He welcomed all the members and guests present at the meeting.
The scheduled entertainment program started with the prayer which was performed by our regular singers. Everyone at the meeting observed two minutes of silence to respect the loss of our member Kailashben Tailor & young Gujarati guy who lost his life in an accident Mr. Janakbhai Patel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved family members. We all pray to almighty to grant everlasting peace to the departed souls.
The entertainment program started with a Guajarati play performed by Kaushikbhai, Jayshreeben Kansara and Ashokbhai Patel. It was well presented and appreciated by all members. This is followed by Gujarati song performed by Dharmesh Patel. Dhansukhbhai Patel, Kiritbhai Thaker and Jasubhai Patel sang ever popular Bollywood songs which were well received by the audience. The health tips from Bharatbhai Trivedi were highly informative and helpful. The flow of the entertainment segment was smooth and in an orderly manner. The secretary thanked Jasubhai Patel for his help with the sound system.
The second half of the program started with a speech from a Joint Secretary Kishor Mehta. Dharmendrabhai Mehta updated the status and progress made by our youth wing. Kiritbhai Thaker provided information on status of grant ($5000/- from TTCF )and other planned activities by GSNZ. The 50 years wedding anniversary of Kishor and Hansha Mehta was acknowledged by Bharatbhai K Parikh on behalf of GSNZ.
There was also another milestone achievement for Sandhyaben Patel and Mohanbhai Patel. It was their 80th birthday. We all convey our best wishes to both for their healthy life of 80 years and wish them healthier life for future years. This is followed by our monthly birthday celebration for our members born in December. Jasubhai Patel sang the birthday wish song. The birthday wish certificates were given to the members who were present at the meeting.
Tulsibhai Patel provided the information for the upcoming picnic on 17 December 2022. Vinodbhai Tailor informed all members regarding the screening of movie “Uunchai” at the theatre. The secretary provided information on sponsors. The bhojan mantra was chanted by Jashubhai Patel before serving the lunch to the members. All enjoyed the meeting. The members left the hall by 3.30 p.m.
